QMDRA Management Committee Contact information
Happy New Year! The QMDRA Team hope all our friends around the world had a great Christmas and are as excited about the 2010 RC drag racing season as we are!
PLEASE NOTE: The Test & Tune scheduled for the 23 Jan, 2010 is officially cancelled. However, testing can be done on any race day, just see the Race Director at the event on the day!
As an outcome of the AGM, Racers should make themselves aware of the changes to class structures, rules and regulations for the 2010 season. The most significant being the separation of Funny Cars to Dragsters, leaving only Dragsters in Top Fuel class and adding a stand alone Funny Car class. Another change will see the inclusion of 4 stroke dragsters competing in Top Fuel. Please see the 2010 Rules and Regulations for a complete set of current rules and class specifications.
We know times are tough and as a result it was decided to maintain last years rates for QMDRA Membership fees for 2010.

The Race Organisers of the 2009 Australian National RC Drag Racing Titles were not going to let a thunder storm get in the way of completing the 3 day event. A storm warning was issued Sunday afternoon, and the clouds rolled in, bringing wind, rain, thunder and lightning at around 2.00pm on Sunday. After a 2 hour delay, the QMDRA cleanup crew consisting mainly of Caveman and Pete, in a dry enough state for Brendan to re-prep the surface ready to continue racing. The 3 day event was declared succerssful, with all races run and winners decided. Don't forget to download the results, which include every competition pass made at the Nationals including qualifying.
The Organisers can not thank the sponsors enough for their support at the Nats! Competition was tough and everyone had fun! The youngest competitor Brad Ward aged 7, and the next youngest Brandon Dimoski from Sydney aged 10 battled it out with drivers old enough to be their grandparents. Brandon keeping the spectator stands entertained with his huge wheelstands and brilliant driving ability.
Results of the IMDRA World Finals in Texas were determined by qualifying order as the event was cut short due to rain. Brendan and Todd can be proud of their achievements dispite the disappointment from the shortened event. They both have done QMDRA and Australia proud by bringing home some hardware for their trouble. Todd and Brendan took out first place and runner up respectively in Nitro Pro Mod, with Todd also claiming a runner up position in the Extreme class. The guys have made a whole bunch of new friends and gained respect as truely International Competitors. Great job Guys!

The event will be one of the best RC Drag racing events held in the country and is set to grow as an annual event into the future.
